for losing primarily fat? I hope to build a more muscular physique after I shed the fat, so should I do slow cardio to preserve muscle mass, or just go crazy with the high intensity cardio? Or is there a better option?

if your worried about loose skin, the best course of action would be to lose fat at a slower rate. This would give your skin type to adjust. im no expert but from your pic, id say try slow cardio first with a restricted caloric intake of -400 or - 500 calories a day.
works amazingly well for me, 1 - 2 months and i have a six pack with barely breaking a sweat lol

slow cardio is what most bodybuilders swear by, myself included. It truly works.
i go jogging with my dog couple times a week, seems to be working in keeping the fat off
so ive been doing the slow cardio since new years day and im already starting to see some results
you look like you have a slower metabolism so i would try the high intensity stuff first, worry about losing the fat first before trying for muscle mass
